Emerlane is owned and operated by Ecom Elevate, a business registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 95445757, at Houtzagerssingel 130, Den Haag, Zuid-Holland, 2512XJ, The Netherlands. We are responsible for the personal information collected through emerlane.com.
What we collect
- Information you give us: name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and order details when you place an order or contact us.
- Payment information: processed directly by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card — we never receive or store your full card number.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Why we use it
- To process and ship your order, and to handle returns and refunds
- To send you order confirmations, shipping notifications and delivery updates
- To answer your questions and provide customer support
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To measure how our site and our advertising perform
- To send you marketing emails, if you have opted in
Cookies we use
- Essential cookies — needed to run the site, keep your cart working and process your order. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Advertising cookies — the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads conversion tracking, so we can measure our advertising and show relevant ads to people who have visited us.
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time in your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to shop with us.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the companies that help us run the store: our ecommerce platform, our payment provider, our shipping and fulfilment partners, our order tracking provider, our email marketing provider, and our analytics and advertising providers. Each of them may only use your information to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Because Ecom Elevate is based in the Netherlands, your information is transferred to and stored outside Australia, including in the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle your personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes, generally seven years. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for two years.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in every email.
To exercise any right, or to make a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, email us at info@emerlane.com. We respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children
Our store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date below. Material changes will be announced on this page.
